I understrand why it happens but it is sad because it strikes the bell marking the end of this anarchistic thing called the World Wide Web. Oh the web will exsist but it won't be anarchistic. It will be driven by revenue generation. Sure it has been for some time but the money gun hasn't been pointed at the "free" contributors as much as it is now aimed right at thier greedy little hearts. So now one puts up with the spam sent to the accounts like this one and my utube account. The unfortunate thing is that when you go to the sites which resort to spam generators you end up left wanting for something worthy of your time. The waters of this cybersea are filled with peril the most brain numbing being, the Fucking Trolls!

I have sucumb to the lure of Vlogging! I find that it is using the visual side of me and I find that fun. Yet print has the cool feature of being less involved with producing a piece and more focused on the content of the piece. If I were scripting my vlog it would be more bloglike but as it stands I am just covering some of my legal day to day activities. This shooting from the hip is as quick as it gets, you think of a shot and shoot it. The editing is what seems to kill. I probably need to get a better edit suite, probably be faster. Video Madness!

The play is a performance!

Funny how you can be taken a back by random stuff. I had just flicked on the tele it was on the CBC channel which was broadcasting a trialthalon held in Seoul. Not my cup of tea but the camera happened to be focused on the lead runner and it kept me interested. I had to wonder what it must be like to be an attractive, incredibly fit young woman running in front of millions world wide and to be wearing virtually nothing on your body. This womans sunglasses had more mass than her body suit! Don't get me wrong I am all for lithe young women baring as much as possible and I am not suggesting that Miss Moffat is at all embarassed. I just wonder if she ever thinks about the 50 something guys , maybe girls, who watch her running and can barely control their drooling. Enough of the debased me. So I was compelled to watch this amazing female form. The end of the race was near when I tuned in and Moffat had a very good lead. When it came down to last 3 kms the two women lurking behind her pu

So it is done as well as it could be done! My cover of the 1968 classic "Sympathy for the Devil" is done and posted to You Tube. It still is not perfect but it is at least good. I am floored by the amount of time that I have devoted to this last project! Here are some stats on my project and some facts about the original song: The original was written by Jagger in 67-68 he had set it to a folk rhythm and had reportedly played it for the other band members a few times before Richards suggested a rhythm change to a samba and adding percussion. The song was recorded for the album Beggars Banquet with Richards playing bass and the lead guitar, Nicky Hopkins on piano, Rocky Dijon on the congas and Bill Wyman doing the maracas. The Do-Do's were done by Jagger, Richards and their manager Jimmy Miller. Not as most people think by Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithful. The song was not being played at The Altamont Speedway Free Concert of Dec

Thats all for today.

Oh what to write about today. The pending "job"? My old friend Duke? The bank and their f*#ked up system/attitude. My foot? I have a renovation job to do! Maybe! I might get the contract for it so let's all cross our fingers eh? After meeting with the clients at their house I tore up to my buddy Duke's place. He is the same as when I left him last. He is thinking about looking for work/moving back out east/getting some training/watching for signs of the Apocalypse. I love the old bugger but sometimes I wonder about his sanity. More to the point I wonder about what neurosis he has, the ones that can be clinically proven and hopefully treated. Banks and finance just bore me to hurling! My foot however could be talked about at length, perhaps coming to the concensus that a shrine should be errected so all might behold the wonder and beauty of my right foot! Ok so much for writing in the style of others. The foot is doing better than I had thought. I had one of those &

Now I don't compare to the Glimmer Twins, who really does, in fact I want to play their tunes! Ok only a few of them and the creative talent of those two is not in question. Closer to the truth would be my creative talent being on the examination table. I have spent at least 10 (ten)(dix for my Quebec brothers) hours doing and redoing the vocals and the final mix of a cover tune. "Sympathy for the Devil" is not a virtuoso piece of music but it is someone else's music, someones creation and it should be treated with respect. I have worked harder on this tune than the other two I have already put out there! Why, I mean if I had hacked it so bad why carry on? In fact I hadn't done a bad rendition but I want it to be as perfect as I can make it. It comes down to being my own worst critic. I am pleased with the arrangment but it does bog down a bit in some parts, the solo bit is pretty good for an old guy. Come to think of it I am younger
