No Ifs Ands Or Buts

                                  I listened to audio clips from the last debate

                                                                 between President Trump             

                       and

                                              Vice President Biden                   

                                                                         it made me cringe! 

                                  Biden made me feel sad for the American  

                                                       voter specifically the young voter                                                                                  who wondered

                        if 

                                                 Joe knew where he parked his car. 

                                   Plainly he was easily flustered by Trump 

                                                                              who was as respectful as he has ever been 

                       and

                                           for me 

                                                   as clear as I had ever heard the President. 

                                   Biden seemed unsure of himself 

                                                                   picking the wrong word

                       or

                                                   squeezing off sentences                      

                       and

                                           when the President came at Biden about

                                                                          his son's affairs overseas 

                                                                                    he seemed to shrink back. 

                                When Trump said 

                                                 You should come clean Joe

                                                                  I was scared because we saw this                                                                                           same scenario in 2016                                                                             where Trump seemed unhinged 

                     and

                                           everyone was sure Clinton would beat Him

                     but

                                                that didn't happen!!        

                               Just before the 2016 election 

                                                    I wrote about Trumps expected unexpected win

                               and 

                                           I was calmly resigned because a lot of people 

                                                                                     saw the possibility back in 2015

                                                                                                                               it wasn't a big shock 

                    but 

                                          more of a massive disappointment 

                               Indeed he lost the popular vote 

                    but

                            he got a lot more votes than anyone had predicted

                   and

                                       the key states needed to bring the electors to him were cinched 

                             Thus the American public had to accept 4 years of Trump

                            and

                                        nobody could foresee 

                                                        how fuck3d up the social political economic landscape 

                                                                                       would be after four years of his leadership

                            Trump was a very strong leader 

                                          who seemed decisive while at the same time         

                                                               seemed to be a little too 

                                                     submissive to President Putin

                            He went through his 

                                                      to do list of election promises 

                  and 

                                         made them happen 

                                                        at least that is what he said 

                          Some of his promises were pretty ridiculous 

                                                                                       such as the border wall

                          and

                                    pretty much any claim he made seemed exaggerated 

            or 

                               simply false

                       Trump connected the rise in the stock market to policies                                                                                                                                    made in the first half of his term

                                                            like the tax bill

                       which did little for the middle class

                      

then in the last half he went crazy with tariffs making things harder for the working class

                                        and 

                                         then there was the Pandemic

                   

           The lack of a coordinated response 

                                           from the White House                                                         was perplexing 

                            and

                                     deadly   

                            Trump verbalized the more

                                        despicable thoughts that                                                  are in the minds of                                              many American making him a 

 dangerous populist

                           He's shown that he is capable of 

                                 inciting violence 

                  if 

                               not willing to attempt  

                                       a full on coup

                            Republicans have said that

                                     they do not condone 

                                                    the actions of Trump for                  

                                                    what was clearly his part in the

                                            storming of the Capitol

 

               but 

                             refuse to call for his 

                                                impeachment

               If

                             Donald were impeached the                           Republicans could move on 

               and 

                              not worry about Trump just                              let him fade into history

               If 

                                you look at the popular vote in 2016 

                                                       the Republican party lost by around 3 million 

                                                                           in 2020 that almost doubled to just under six million

                If 

                        you do the math this guy is not an odds on favorite 

                and

                        if             

                             you aren't a lunatic what would make you bet on an insane horse who keeps losing?

                       The official line from the GOP is that he is highly visible 

                       or  

       in other words the Trump brand is working for them

                                       I don't see how 

                                                         so why are they doing this            

  Let's imagine  that after the incident 

                                  Trump goes to the republicans            and

                                       says Hey I want to run in the next election so make sure 

                                                                                              all the Republicans vote for acquittal  

                but

                                        because of the attack on congress they say

                         no 

                                      you have gone too far                                                 

                                                                   you're on your own                                       

                but  

                                   Trump comes back with

                                                    hey don't throw me under the bus 

                                                  or     

                                                         I'll take my followers                         

                and 

                                     create a third party!

                        Mitch 

            and

                      the boys would not have smiles on their faces 

            if

                            Trump took a portion of their voter base for his own

                        So the Republicans tell the party whip to beat the caucus 

                                                   members so they all toe the party line

                       and

                            vote against impeachment 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Donald is happy!

                                          Melania is happy!

Don Jr is happy!

                             

                       The republicans are hedged in 

                and

                      pretty much have to run Donald one more time

                          So there are a few questions to ask

                         Will you go slightly nuts enduring another 4 years 

                                                                                      hearing about the stolen election

                         Will Donald run in 2024

                                                               Would he storm congress to take it

                         I think there are

            No    

                 Ifs

                   Ands

                         Or

                            Buts!
