Sounds good enough to say again!

I am going to be so busy over this next week and to add to the furious pace I have to contend with the exhaust pipe blowing out of the old grey ford. Well it is not a big deal as I need tires for the beast so might as well get the shop to do a wee modification on the exhaust. Now that I am writing this I remember a tune up (plugs, rotor, wires) and oil change are due. Finding time for all of this and complete my project plus look for work in Ft Mac!!!!!!!! No wonder I do drugs. Really everything is do-able except the meet and greet/orientation at Keyano College. It takes place on the 30th and I will be driving up there on the 30th. Why that day? Why can I not be in Ft McMuddy before the 30th? I am in Lethbridge on the 29th, the night of the 29th! A special night as it is my youngest daughters birthday. Alexanna Jaylene will be 21. Daddy's girl does grow up fast! Soon that will be Grand daddy's little girl. Caira, the elder, will be birthing while I am in college. Sorry but no pi...

Do you think my teachers could be this hot?????? Not bloody likely! So I have everything in place. I am in residence, entrance fee has been paid, application and acceptance of the app for a student loan is all done. In under two weeks a new place and a new time for me. This is the way I identify times in my life. Not by chronos but by geos. I sometimes mix sex and geography by defining points in my life by the relations I had. A number of relationships have spanned a number of geographic changes so then that epoch would be defined by the relationship and a subset of geography, ie: Girl x in place y and in place w. I have consumed too much Grande Marnier and kron...non the less I shall write on. Yes school, the refuge of the inspired as well as the witless. The driven and the well inherited. The poetic and the crass. I wonder not what this next two years might bring. This is my psyche I live so in the moment that there is no future, only scenarios. I live mise en scene waiting for the ...

So what is your big idea?

This was posted a while back and on my stats page it is always the most read.  This is becoming an exercise in learning what my stats counter is counting. Anyway I haven't read this post in some time and found it OK. Again an apology to those who have read it. I do want to see if the stat counter increases the page views of this post. Cheers Gord I feel very bad. I have not been posting and it weighs heavy in my heart. This is not because I am in the throes of LOVE or because I have a high profile job that takes up all of my time. No, this is the result of CABLE TV The hundreds of channels that I have at my disposal has become a millstone around my neck This brings me to a topic which I have tried to put down in print before but have found it too large a topic for this blogger. It is really two things which are related. One is the constant confusion in choice. By our western standards "choice" is at the top of our list of things that ...

I understrand why it happens but it is sad because it strikes the bell marking the end of this anarchistic thing called the World Wide Web. Oh the web will exsist but it won't be anarchistic. It will be driven by revenue generation. Sure it has been for some time but the money gun hasn't been pointed at the "free" contributors as much as it is now aimed right at thier greedy little hearts. So now one puts up with the spam sent to the accounts like this one and my utube account. The unfortunate thing is that when you go to the sites which resort to spam generators you end up left wanting for something worthy of your time. The waters of this cybersea are filled with peril the most brain numbing being, the Fucking Trolls!

Video Madness!

I have sucumb to the lure of Vlogging! I find that it is using the visual side of me and I find that fun. Yet print has the cool feature of being less involved with producing a piece and more focused on the content of the piece. If I were scripting my vlog it would be more bloglike but as it stands I am just covering some of my legal day to day activities. This shooting from the hip is as quick as it gets, you think of a shot and shoot it. The editing is what seems to kill. I probably need to get a better edit suite, probably be faster. Video Madness!

The play is a performance!

Funny how you can be taken a back by random stuff. I had just flicked on the tele it was on the CBC channel which was broadcasting a trialthalon held in Seoul. Not my cup of tea but the camera happened to be focused on the lead runner and it kept me interested. I had to wonder what it must be like to be an attractive, incredibly fit young woman running in front of millions world wide and to be wearing virtually nothing on your body. This womans sunglasses had more mass than her body suit! Don't get me wrong I am all for lithe young women baring as much as possible and I am not suggesting that Miss Moffat is at all embarassed. I just wonder if she ever thinks about the 50 something guys , maybe girls, who watch her running and can barely control their drooling. Enough of the debased me. So I was compelled to watch this amazing female form. The end of the race was near when I tuned in and Moffat had a very good lead. When it came down to last 3 kms the two women lurking behind her pu...

No rest for the wicked! (New and Improved)

So it is done as well as it could be done! My cover of the 1968 classic "Sympathy for the Devil" is done and posted to You Tube. It still is not perfect but it is at least good. I am floored by the amount of time that I have devoted to this last project! Here are some stats on my project and some facts about the original song: The original was written by Jagger in 67-68 he had set it to a folk rhythm and had reportedly played it for the other band members a few times before Richards suggested a rhythm change to a samba and adding percussion. The song was recorded for the album Beggars Banquet with Richards playing bass and the lead guitar, Nicky Hopkins on piano, Rocky Dijon on the congas and Bill Wyman doing the maracas. The Do-Do's were done by Jagger, Richards and their manager Jimmy Miller. Not as most people think by Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithful. The song was not being played at The Altamont Speedway Free Concert of Dec ...
