The debate rages, actually simmers, here in Canada over the visit of the conservative pin-up girl A. Coulter. The question has been posed as to whether this bag of nonsensical wind should have the right to have a public platform to speak on.

The question is not a hard or convoluted one but to give an answer might be.

From what I have viewed over the last few years I see a growing neo-fascism in the conservative rank and file. Fascism works through fear, emotional spewing of tirades with little factual base, then hate. It only works when the fascist has victory over the supposed evil amongst us.

This is the reason why debate is not an option, losing one shows the underlying weakness of the irrational fear feed to the populace.

Should A.Coulter be allowed to speak publicly? Of course she should just not in a venue. Give the girl a corner to stand on and she can rant and rave like the rest of the crazies. Some have said that she deserves the right to free speech, her speeches are NOT FREE. She collects money to do them and has a marketing angle to all of them.

It is too easy to "tolerate" people who have a message of hate in their commentary. When we do look the other way and allow it to continue we invite some nasty consequences. A. Coulter and her conservative chums do incite violence, they do invite hatred, yet some like to say she is so ridiculous that she will disappear.

Not so, this is not part of the agenda!

Last night in Calgary A. Coulter made a remark that her views are said to be crazy and carried on to say that she is, some how, analogous to Jesus Christ whose views were considered crazy in his time to the powers that were. (I am trying not to puke right now) Wholly fuck is this chick uneducated? Answer is no she has a degree from Cornell University. I can't fathom someone who advocates the mass deportation of any group just because of their ethnicity comparing themselves to JC or Mahatma Ghandi. What is even more perplexing, and is the more serious danger, is the fact that her feeble minded followers lap this shit up!

So our high minded thinkers say we should ignore the rants and raves of this lunatic in order to preserve our dignity and face in the larger world. I think the world did pretty much the same thing back a few years in the late 1930's with a raging lunatic named A. Hitler. Of course A. Coulter would say that she doesn't think all Arab/Muslims should die, of course not, not yet.

Some others will gain comfort in thinking that they are not a Conservative target, of course not, not yet!
