Who are these people and what do they stand 4? part5

So you gonna vote?

Spoiler Alert!
There are no (more) nude women in this post!

Its
just that the NDP need help so thought I'd draw more of an audience to my humble blog of course the honorable folks in the NDP would never stoop to the lowest rung like yours truly, maybe they should.
When
you consider my roots are in Saskatchewan you'd think I would be all over the NDP and until the Green Party I did.
Hey
I do like NDP policies and in the pack of wolves who are vying to be top dog in Alberta the NDP are the only ones who field a leader who has a degree in Political Science, more ironic than anything of substance.
Truly
I find the fact he was an Edmonton city bus driver for many years to be of more interest and IMO of more value to the electorate.

New Democrats
have pretty much always been third or forth in the popular vote in this province and while we do not have huge numbers of union members you'd think they'd do better than they do.

Brian Mason,
the NDP's provincial leader,
has won every election he has entered. His party has made gains federally
but
the NDP in Alberta are still at two seats
and
that's too bad as the party is not radically socialist
but
it's not a bitch to business interests.

So
why do they lag in the polls?
The NDP have depth in their vision and conviction in their message they were born of a mixed marriage between the farmer and the working man in Saskatchewan.
Maybe
they're just not sexy enough? Hip enough? A horrible thought
but
there must be some reason that they are less than marginal in Alberta politics.
.
Oh yeah!
The PCs' have reigned over the province since I was a child.
Well
I would hate to see this province move further right with the Wild Rose Party, the Green Party doesn't have the provincial network in place so it is the
Liberals
or the
NDP!

No
I'm not being too emotional I'm somewhere in the middle like the average Canadian
but
before I decide I'll go to the website.
Lets
take a look: http://albertandp.ca/

Again
another site which is very effective, well laid out, user friendly, information is very easy to find.
So
clearly the political parties have become tech savvy over the last three years. That was around the time I had decided to find out more about the Wild Rose Party site from the Party it's self online.
At
the time I was writing a post on the lovely but infamous Ann Coulter so I had no immediate need to peruse the PC, NDP or Liberal websites
Perhaps
I was in a drug induced stupor but I am pretty sure if I wanted to go beyond their home page I had to donate ie: become a member.

But
I would guess that they have all stepped up the use of PEM (public/personal electronic media).
Still
none of the major or even minor parties brings anything really new in direction. It's not that they won't react to the environment in which they live
but
it would be nice to see a leader rather than a follower when it comes to use of technology.
So
The big wrap up will be in the next post!
